Palisade Park
Join us as we visit Palisade Park, a 4.59 acre parcel of land acquired by the Wichita Park Alliance in 1992 for the purpose of providing a neighborhood park. Unfortunately, there’s nothing in this park – no playground, sand pit, or path. Not even a sign!
Hope Park
Join us as we visit the small but charming Midtown Mini Park, now owned by the Board of Park Commissioners. See the jungle gym and take a walk around the park with us as we work on getting in shape. Despite its size, this park has plenty of character.
Swanson Park
A family homestead is turned into one of Wichita’s prettiest parks.
Kiwanis Park
Originally a park run by the Kiwanis club was turned over to the city, with one request.
Boston Park
An usual shelter, pool, jungle gym and a freezing cold day at Boston Park.
Southview Park
Join us on a trip down memory lane as we visit Southview Park, where the playground equipment is straight out of our childhoods. From a rocket ship to a fort, this park is a blast from the past. But don’t be fooled by its age, as we discovered that it was founded in 1981, almost forty years ago! So put on your play clothes and come explore this hidden gem with us.
Towne Park
It’s hard to find, but worth the search. We take a look at Wichta’s Towne Park.
Fabrique Neighborhood Park
Join us as we explore a new family park in Wichita’s Fabrique neighborhood, funded by a $100k grant from the Hyatt sale. Our friend Sara Bberlinger reported on the park, and we can confirm it’s full of unique features like a spinning globe and a teeter-totter built for four. Don’t miss the hilarious “climbing rock” – see it for yourself in our pictures.
Westlink Park
