This is one of the parks I was really interested in seeing for some reason. I never went there as a kid, but one of my dad’s mentors lived right across the street. Seeing the dome over the pool was always a sign we were close to hanging out with Buddy Brown.

The theme of this pad is Water Cycle. According to my research, the playground tells the story of the cycle of water and the water seems to run like a stream from one end of the park to the other.
There is a seating area and a rope hammock that I was wanting to try, but I was afraid I might not be able to get out.

There is also a standard water playground with the big bucket that randomly dumps water out. Some really sharp flowers were added.

The picture below is of the same park in November 2019

One more note on Buddy Brown. He was an old school theater guy (he ran the Miller and the Boulevard theaters, just to name a few) and he was a cool guy. Every year he would make these intricate Christmas ornaments for my sister and I. The last year we went to visit he was too ill to make the ornaments, so he had us each pick one from his tree. They are cherished ornaments and I think of him every year when we hang them on our tree.
