#69 Peach Tree Park – 55th St S & S Hydraulic
Background: From the city’s website: In 2007 this land was made available for park purposes under a Memorandum of Understanding between the Park & Recreation Department and the Water & Sewer Utility. (Pretty exciting stuff there!)
What we did: This park has a playground towards the front then a large chunk of fields behind it.
The playground has one of the more artistic and modern jungle gyms. There were kids playing, and I tried to avoid catching them in the photos, then they approached me. The three of them talked and talked and told me about the great slide and then proceeded to demonstrate the slide to me.
The next park is named after a landowner who’s property is now home to Wichita’s best high school.
