West Meadows Park

#111 West Meadows Park – 1433 Parkridge

Background: This is another one of those parks that I could not really find any information. According to the city’s website, “This already developed park was donated to the City by Slawson Investment Corporation in 1992.”

What we did: The warm Labor Day sun kept the heat up so we did not spend much time in the small neighborhood park. It features a worn out tennis court and rough looking basketball court.

The swings and jungle gym were in good shape. I have really started digging the jungle gyms. They seem to inspire creativity and artistry.

They are considered the crown jewels of the Wichita park system. While they have seen a number of changes over the years, they still know how to draw the crowds.
