9th and Hillside Trail Head

The next stop is the trailhead at 9th & Hillside.  This stop did not seem to have a central theme. 

The shaded area features several paintings covering the black farmers who lived in the area. 

There are some more of the pieces covered with newspaper clippings about the history of Wichita. 

And another metal sculpture celebrating the black community.  This one also promotes “Community Service,” “Be Involved,” and “Make History.”
