Green Valley Cemetery – Furley

14500 E 109th St N, Valley Center, KS 67147

This cemetery sits in the middle of farm country.  In fact the tractors were working the fields when we visited this gravesite. There are just a little over 1,100 people interred here.

There are no famous graves that I could find listed.

The oldest grave is a sad story.  I guess it’s a sad story.  The girl in the grave is less than two months old.  I could not find any additional information on her story.

Etna B. Hart  February 25, 1872 to April 16, 1872.

There were several Hart graves nearby.

A sibling, Otis died within two months of his birth too. Their father was John Hart, a corporal in the Civil War in Company E, Illinois 72nd Infantry
