Sleepy Hollow Park

#83 Sleepy Hollow Park – 3200 E Edgemont

Background: From the city’s website: This parkway, acquired in 1926, has been developed along a winding brook, extending from Rutan to Alfred MacDonald Park, with drives running on each side.

What we did: It was a decent day, when the wind wasn’t blowing. This is a charming little neighborhood park. A small playground, swings and a merry-go-round There are some park benches and a number of nice photo ops.

Beware the slopes around the brook, they are muddy, and very slippery, very slippery.

We’ve visited the park named after the Kansas state bird, now let’s check out one named after the state tree.
