#55 Wildwood Park – 2801 W 27th St S.
Background: The park was developed in 1998, and was part of the land trade with USD 259 in 2002. It was once the site of John B. Martin School.
What we did: We visited this park in the height of the heat, but I was pleased with the shadows created by the high sun.
The park is mostly green grass and trees. The trees provided a little shade from the direct sun.
The jungle gym was a more modern style than what we normally see at the parks. Sadly, we noticed about the same amount of graffiti.
Wichita offers more than just pools as a way to keep cool during the hot summer months.
