#64 Towne Park – 2907 S. West Parkway
Background: The land was donated by I.T.J. Investments, Inc. in March of 1994. According to the city’s website, “it is to be developed into a nature study area with pond, woodlands, a paved path and playground area.”
What we did: If you are heading to this park, the entrance is a sidewalk that runs between two houses in the middle of the neighborhood. If you visit be on the lookout for a small sign.
The park has a smaller jungle gym and some old school park playthings. We followed the path through the trees which led to a small pond. We spotted a construction cone and a good size turtle in the water.
Another cute little city park is next… that shares its name with an adult education movement.
