#21 Mayor’s Pine Grove – 300 N Water
Background: The brought this small park in 1978. 44 trees were planted and a couple of picnic tables have been added to the park. I wondered if maybe the trees represent the number of mayors that ruled Wichita. That didn’t prove anything, as our current Mayor, Brandon Whipple is the 103rd mayor.
What we did: Seriously, it took us less than five minutes to walk the park. There’s not much to it, just the trees and that’s it, but it is a nice bit of green in the middle of downtown.
